Creating Sex Positive Spaces – The Living Room Tour

Sex positive spaces are necessary to create bonds and to better understand love and relations. Sex positive spaces fight sexism and prevent violence and abuse. Sex positive spaces enable personal empowerment and deconstruct gender stereotypes. How can we create those spaces who allow us in all safety to fully exist as sexual beings?

Dancer and choreographer Felix Ruckert comes to your home to share his vision of a sex positive culture, to encourage a space of free expression and to facilitate a very direct, yet elegant and sophisticated approach to the sexual body.

To Ruckert, the right of ecstasy is fundamental, the freedom to take bodymind and soul to their limit is essential, the questioning of identity through mind-altering experiences is necessary. Conflict and violence is based inside ourselves, injustice and repression reflects the restrictions of the collective consciousness. Training fluidity is resistance against the ideology of product and profit, it enables the dissolution of the rigidity of economics that a capitalism gone crazy imposes upon the individual.

Felix will do a lecture and/or performance and will summon the guests to discuss his ideas. There will be some practical examples of the work, and maybe some play as well. The guests are invited to come, see and touch the work of one of the most influential Berliner artists, whose focus became the development of magic fields: worlds in the world, temporary autonomous zones, spaces where the usual codes of conduct are suspended to allow more gentle, open, direct and free interactions between human beings.

The evening is free of charge, all welcome!

Felix Ruckert, former Pina Bausch dancer, shook up the dance world with participatory performances and radical scenic explorations in the late nineties and provoked a scandal at the Biennale of Venezia in 2007. He initiated xplore and other festivals on Conscious Kink and Creative Sexuality and from 2007 – 2016 facilitated the enchanted performance venue schwelle7 in Berlin. How does it work practically?

I plan a tour through Germany and Europe during January/ February/ March/ April 2018. I try to widen the community that was formed by schwelle7, xplore, EURIX and other events, in the hope to increase interest in this work and maybe even find support for the creation of a new venue.

You provide a space for the evening and host me and my crew (max 3 persons). It can be your living room or any other space. You invite your friends and anyone who is interested. (Feel free to use this text for your invitation!) If you bring 5 people together, we come. If you have a bigger space, a studio or similiar we can also add a workshop or participatory event to the mix (see options below).

The evening is free of charge, we will collect donations from the guests to cover our expenses.

Sexpositive Räume schaffen – Felix Ruckert’s Wohnzimmer Tour

Sexpositive Räume sind notwendig um Gemeinschaft zu stärken und um Liebe und Beziehungen besser zu verstehen. Sexpositive Räume bekämpfen Sexismus und beugen Gewalt und Missbrauch vor. Sexpositive Räume ermöglichen persönliche Ermächtigung und dekonstruieren Geschlechterklischees. Wie können wir solche Räume schaffen, die uns Sicherheit bieten und uns erlauben vollständige sexuelle Wesen zu sein?

Felix Ruckert, Tänzer, Choreograph und Konzeptkünstler kommt in ihr Zuhause um seine Vision einer sexpositive Kultur vorzustellen: um einen Raum zu öffnen für freien Ausdruck und eine direkt-pragmatische und zugleich elegant- spielerische Forschung zum sexuellen Körper.

Für Ruckert ist das Recht auf Ekstase fundamental, die Freiheit die Grenzen von Körper, Geist und Seele zu erforschen ist essentiell, die Hinterfragung von Identität durch bewusstseinsverändernde Erfahrungen ist notwendig. Konflikte und Gewalt sind in uns allen angelegt, Ungerechtigkeit und Repression reflektieren nur die Beschränkungen des kollektiven Bewußtseins. Verflüssigung zu trainieren bedeutet Widerstand gegen die Ideologie von Verwertung und Vermarktung, ist Aufweichung eines rigiden Wirtschaftlichkeitsdenkens, das ein Kapitalismus außer Rand und Band dem Individuum aufzwingt.

Felix Ruckert wird eine Lecture Performance zu sexpositiver Kultur halten und die Gäste einladen, seine Ideen zu diskutieren. Er wird auch praktische Erfahrungen ermöglichen und Spiele vorschlagen. Die Gäste sind eingeladen die Arbeit eines der einflussreichsten Berliner Künstler kennen zu lernen, der sich auf die Entwicklung „Magischer Felder“ spezialisiert hat: Welten in der Welt, temporär autonome Zonen, Räume in denen die üblichen Codes menschlicher Interaktion aufgehoben sind für sanftere, ehrlichere, direktere und freiere Begegnungen.

Wie funktioniert es praktisch?

Wir planen eine Tour quer durch Deutschland und Europa, im Januar/ Februar/ März/ April 2018. Wir wollen versuchen die Community, die durch schwelle7, xplore, EURIX und andere Aktivitäten von Felix Ruckert entstanden ist, zu erweitern, in der Hoffnung das Interesse an unserer Arbeit zu vergrößern und um Unterstützung für die Schaffung eines neuen Veranstaltungsorts zu finden.

Sie besorgen uns einen Raum für den Abend und beherbergen Felix und seine Crew (2 bis max. 3 Personen insgesamt). Der Raum kann ein Wohnzimmer sein oder jeder andere Ort. Sie laden ihre Freunde ein und sonstige Interessenten. (Sie können gerne diesen Text für Ihre Einladung verwenden!) Wenn Sie fünf Leute zusammen bringen können, kommen wir. Wenn Ihnen ein größerer Raum, Studio oder Veranstaltungsort zur Verfügung steht, können wir zusätzlich auch eine Performance, einen oder zwei Workshops oder ein partizipatives Format anbieten.
